In my interdisciplinary research group of polymer chemists, physical chemists and material scientists, we are working with functional polymers and polymer / inorganic hybrid materials. The functional properties are studied with electrochemical, optical, electrical and mechanical measurements. The main aim is to manipulate the structure and properties of materials at the molecular and mesoscopic scale (nanostructures) in such a way that they can be applied in polymer electronics, e.g. solar cells or thermoelectrics, and electrochemical devices, e.g. sensors, batteries and actuators.
