One PhD position is immediately available at the Institute of Polymer Chemistry, University of Stuttgart (research group of Prof. Dr. Michael R. Buchmeiser). The research topic will focus on the synthesis and characterization of N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-based Mo/W-imido and W-oxo alkylidene catalysts and their application in olefin metathesis reactions. This position is for at least 3 years, salary level TV-L E13 (50%), and requires a Master degree (or equivalent) in inorganic or organometallic chemistry, as well as good communication skills in English. Experience in Schlenk line techniques, glovebox is a prerequisite. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other group members.
